A Raised Voice in the Trees
Whispers & Wonderings From Thistlewick
A number of residents have remarked upon the presence of a particularly well-dressed individual at recent gatherings, noted for his tartan attire and a beard of considerable character.
Many villagers had previously reported hearing what appeared to be a firm but good-natured voice coming from the trees beyond the village, believed to be engaged in a one-sided conversation.
The individual – identified by some as Fergus McFlannel, a retired tree surgeon – was heard expressing strong views on “proper behaviour” in relation to squirrels.
No response was detected.
