Elsewhere (unconfirmed, but difficult to ignore)

Local residents were treated to what has been described as a “sparkling spectacle” this morning, following an enthusiastic passage by several residents of Rosehip House.

A notable quantity of multi-coloured plumage, accompanied by what one bystander termed  “reckless levels of glitter – or “party polution,” has since been observed along the path leading toward the village green.

The resulting trail has been said to lend the morning walk an atmosphere more akin to a theatrical finale than a midweek routine.

While the effect has been widely admired, it is understood that the park-keeper is less than entirely delighted.

No official explanation has been offered.
