Constable Douglas Finn keeps a watchful eye over Thistlewick with polished boots, a steady voice, and an ability to silence a room with a well-practised raised eyebrow.
A firm believer in rules (most of the time), Douglas also knows that looking after a village means understanding its people — their habits, their worries, and when a quiet word works better than a telling-off.
He’s a familiar face at the junior football pitch, where he “keeps an eye on things,” and everyone knows he carries spare sweets for scraped knees. He always stays late to pack away the cones after football practice and he is known to cheer loudest for the smallest player.
Douglas is present in everyday life, not just when somethings wrong, and is aware of when to look the other way. (although he has a mental list of “ones to watch”.) He’s particularly fond of early morning patrols, when the village is quiet and honest.
