Miss Beatrice Bloom, of Petal and Polka Florist, was observed earlier today carefully selecting and setting aside a small quantity of petals.

The selection process appeared to be undertaken with particular attention, with several varieties considered before a final arrangement was chosen.

When asked, Miss Bloom described the activity simply as “preparation.”
