Residents have once again reported the appearance of a series of wet footprints leading from the direction of the loch through several key areas of the village, including (but not limited to) the bakery, the postbox, and, regrettably, the library.

Investigations are ongoing, with the trail of aqueous impressions confirming that the individual arrived directly from the water’s edge.

Miss Morven “Minnow” McFadden was later observed enjoying a flask of hot chocolate and a bag of crisps, appearing entirely untroubled.

Miss Morag has declined to comment.
